Maine Matters was launched in 2014 by Hillary Lister to provide research and
consulting for community groups and small businesses across the state.
Hillary has over 16 years experience successfully navigating regulatory processes in Maine and New England.
From community organizing, to presenting to Department regulators, working with town planning boards and advocating before state
lawmakers, Hillary has gained expertise in a variety of matters including environmental protection, food sovereignty, medical cannabis regulations, industrial
hemp, and renewable energy policy.
Maine Matters was formed as a way to put these skills to use, helping community groups, nonprofit organizations
and small businesses to navigate Maine's changing regulatory landscape.
